At present, ChinaAMC is managing the greatest number of funds in China, including 2 closed-end funds, 12 open-end funds, 2 ETFs, 1 QDII fund and several mandates. The ChinaAMC open-end fund product line consists of funds characterized with different risk/return profiles.

 

 

Experienced in Managing Overseas Asset

With our strong company brand and rich investment experience, ChinaAMC is the only fund manager so far in China that manages foreign reserves for central banks and monetary authorities in Asia and Pacific region.

The EMEAP (Executives' Meeting of East Asia and Pacific Central Banks) Group, comprising 11 central banks and monetary authorities in the East Asia and Pacific region, announced in May 2005 the appointment of the fund managers and the completion of the funding of US$2 billion for the Asian Bond Fund 2 (ABF2). ChinaAMC was selected as the only fund manager of ABF China Bond Index Fund.  The EMEAP Group has allocated RMB 1 billion for this Fund.  ABF China Fund is an index fund tracking the iBoxx ABF China Index. The Fund invests in sovereign bonds, agency bonds and central bank notes that are issued and traded in both Inter-Bank and Exchange Market in China. The Fund has started investment in June 2006.

With the development of the QFII program in China, more and more QFIIs and potential international investors are interested in our products and services and eventually become our clients.

In December 2004, ChinaAMC launched the first ETF in mainland China: the China 50 ETF.  The Fund received very high recognition from foreign investors.  Many QFIIs subscribed the China 50 ETF during the IPO period and on the first day of listing, which is very unique in China mutual fund market. Up until now there are more than a dozen QFIIs investing in our China 50 ETF and most of them are long-term investors. All these show the QFIIs¡¯ great interest and strong commitment in Chinese capital market.
